putting em to the test

I did some research and wanted to buy an all purpose boot. I wanted one that was waterproof, for when I worked around my property and one that would keep my feet warm in the cold weather. I got my boots yesterday. We had 6 inches of snow last night. I woke to blustery winds and temps in the 10 degree range. I put my boots to the test and they passed with flying colors. I shoveled snow for two hours. My feet did not get wet and my toes stayed warm. The boots were very comfortabIe. I hope they are as good in the summer.

Comfortable, waterproof, short break-in, quality laces....what's not to love. I've been wearing Bates for years, until my last order AND 2 replacement pairs for that last order. Out of frustration with Bates, I found this boot that met all my requirements...and man, am I glad I did. Can't say enough good about them. I have tested them in creekbeds, rocky slopes, and soggy fields...feet stay dry and comfortable while soles maintain decent purchase with the earth. Fantastic!
